The Hope After Loss™ Community Ambassador Program is a national outreach initiative of Mothers Of Veteran Suicide Corp., created to ensure that families impacted by Military and Veteran suicide loss are identified, supported, and connected to trusted resources.
Many families affected by suicide loss are never formally referred to services and often remain isolated within their communities. This program addresses that gap by training family members with lived experience to serve as compassionate, ethical, and community-based ambassadors of hope.
The Hope After Loss™ Community Ambassador Program trains mothers and family members who have lost a Military or Veteran loved one to suicide to serve as local outreach ambassadors.

No. While Mothers Of Veteran Suicide Corp. was founded by mothers, this program welcomes any family member who has lost a Military or Veteran loved one to suicide.
No. Community Ambassadors do not provide counseling, therapy, or crisis intervention. The role is focused on outreach, connection, and referral to appropriate support services.
Grief is not a disqualification. Ambassadors are encouraged to serve only if and when they feel emotionally ready. Boundaries and self-care are a core part of the training.
There is no minimum time commitment. Ambassadors serve at their own pace, within their own community, and according to their capacity.
Yes. All Ambassadors must complete a short virtual training to ensure ethical outreach, consistency, and protection for families and volunteers.
