A pool party for 8 mothers. These mothers traveled from all over the country to attend. What a great day of new friendships and sharing.
Depending on the location and weather permitting, you may see some of the mothers in a kayak. For the mothers not wanting to kayak, you will find them strolling a village sharing stories of their children.
Grief Sessions with Brett Cotter and Kirk Poe, Prayer and Affirmations are all part of the grief healing at our retreats.
Beach walking, sharing, shell hunting, shark tooth competition and a picnic lunch is just what the doctor ordered.
These mothers were able to enjoy a delicious lunch together. The stories that they shared is a form of healing in itself.
Facials, cozy blankets, a dog or 2 on your lap, crying in grief to falling off the couch in hysterical laughter. You have to have some fun!

Mothers Of Veteran Suicide
A faith-based group of mothers of the brave men and women who have served our US Military and have lost them to suicide.
This group is a combination of non-Gold Star Mothers and Gold Star Mothers. Most do not understand that our Veteran Mothers are not considered Gold Star Mothers and we created a loving, safe place for these grieving mothers to meet.
No one can imagine the unbearable loss, the grief, the emptiness we feel. Our group is to raise each other up in prayer, create positive posts, openness and to speak from our hearts. The bond that is created is not found in any other group. There is so much love here
We always recommend TAPS and Griefshare but there are times where there are no resources available and insurance does not cover grief counseling. If a mother has no option and is in need of assistance, we will do all we can to provide assistance with private sector grief counseling when funding is available.
Are you Active-Duty Military, National Guard, Reservist or Veteran and feel alone? Are you a loved one of a hero you may be concerned about?
Would you like someone to call, check in on you, send a letter or a care package? Our moms will call, text, lend an ear, send a care package or a special occasion card.
*Please note , we are not licensed counselors or a crisis call center. If you are in a crisis, please call 988.
Mothers of Veteran Suicide are often left raising their grandchildren. MOVS wants to help these mothers and their families with the cost of school supplies and clothing, Christmas and Birthday presents. Your generous donations can help us make that happen.
We have also started an adopt a child program that would allow for a more personal relationship with the family.
